About me
It is fair to say I am fascinated by seashells and pretty much most natural objects washed up on our shorelines. I can be found on most holidays, head down, foraging along the tideline filling my pockets with bits & bobs to paint.
From my travels, exotic shells washed in from the Arabian Gulf and Indian Ocean are always beautiful finds and while much less exotic, shells, pebbles, feathers, sea glass and pottery plucked from the UK Devon shores and the local estuary are great inspiration for me. I am currently painting a collection from my finds along the shores of the Exe Estuary to see the changes as the river meets the sea.
I have set about painting the marine objects I have found on my travels, so you can enjoy them too.
When I have time, I pop into my local antiques centre and occasionally find little treasures to paint. My key, bottles and letter series of watercolours are all based on these finds. Feathers are also a favourite subject of mine paint.
